Privacy policy
This policy explains what data Mic Drop processes, why, and on what basis. The app does not require an account or sign-in.

SITE ANALYTICS
Anonymous analytics is on. You can turn it off at any time. Turning it off does not affect training.
Controller
The data controller is the operator of the Mic Drop project. Privacy contact: justqualitybuilds+support@gmail.com.
What we process
We do not run user accounts and we do not collect an email address or password.
On your device we store preferences locally (language, theme, session settings, selected beats and word packs, custom packs, favorite beats). That data does not leave the device.
Flow and Rhymes session audio recordings — if you use that feature — are available only in the mobile app. They stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Recording asks for microphone access; you can revoke it in system settings.
Sharing a recording goes through the phone’s system share sheet (for example Files or AirDrop). We do not receive the file.
Analytics
On the website we use PostHog for product events (for example choosing Flow, Rhymes, or Battle). That helps us see which features work. This is anonymous product analytics — no ads and no cross-site tracking.
Analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time on this page.
In the native iOS and Android apps, analytics is used to improve the product and does not rely on browser cookies.
Crash reports
Production builds send crash reports to Sentry (device type, app version, stack trace) so we can fix bugs. We do not enable deliberate collection of personal data.
Cookies and browser storage
On the web we may store: analytics preference, language, theme, and session settings (localStorage / AsyncStorage equivalent).
When analytics is on, PostHog may use cookies or localStorage to tell sessions apart. If you turn it off, we do not run that analytics.
Analytics cookies are not required for training. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Sharing
We do not sell data. Processors that may handle technical data for us: PostHog (product analytics) and Sentry (crashes). The site may be hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
